Tho Wellington Bowling Centre's New Year tournament opens at 9 o'clock this morning on ' the Wellington, A ictoria, Newtown, and .Thorndon greens. Fifty rinks havo been entered (200 players), representing twelve city and suburban clubs. Each team will engago in four games, and tho tournament is to last two days, '.or possibly more. These fixtures, in tho past, have been so well managed and so thoroughly enjoyable that bowlers aro looking forward to this year's event with the most pleasurable anticipations. . .
