PREMIER'S HOME-COMING.
"GLAD TO-HEAR THE BAGPIPES." (By Tclecraph.—Press Association.) Invercarflill, January 1. The Prime' Minister arrived by the second express on Saturday night, and was welcomed by Deputy-Mayor Scandrett and others, whito a pipe band turned out also. Mr. Scandrett, in tho. course of. his welcome, stated .that he was glad to see Sir Joseph Ward looking so well after a : very- arduous session, and congratulated •liiitt! oni'-.thel session's work.

Tho Prime Minister will attend tho Caledonian games and the Bluff regatta, and hopes, after that, to rest for a while at Stewart Island. .
