THROWN FROM A SULKY. Creymouih, December 30. Thomas Bell, builder, was thrown from a sulky .through a horso-jibbing, and fell on. his head, this morning. Ho is seriously hurt and is still ur.con.scious. AFTER ■ A SEVERE EXPERIENCE. Ghristciiuroh, December 30. Maitland Rawlins, tlio younger of tlio two boys who woro admitted to tlio hospital yesterday: seriously injured-as tlio result of a fall over a cliff, passed a fairly comfortable night, and was ported to bo ; a little more conscious this morning than when ho was admitted. The other boy, Charles Rawlins, is getting on very well, and passed a comfortable night. TRAM-CAR COLLISION. 'Glirtotchurcli, December 30. A head-on collision took place on tlio Burwood tram-lino this afternoon between a stoam locomotive and an electric car.'' Passengers on tlio latter ear were severely shaken and several found it necessary to come to town for medical aid. BOTH LEGS, FRACTURED. : A married man, named Jobn Alcoclt, residing at the Jacob's Place, was admitted to the hospital yesterday with both legs fractured. It appears -that lie was riding on an express in Lorno Street, with a ( friend, and in stepping off while the express was moving, slipped and fell. Tlio wheels passed over his legs inflicting tlio injuries mentioned. -Dr. H. J. M'Lean was called, and after attending to the injuries, ordered a removal to the hos- ' pital.
