THE RUDD-ANDREWS CONTEST. ANOTHER MEETING IN PROSPECT. Rudd and "Monty" Andrews, the two heavy-weight boxers who were matched at AVestport on Tuesday night, lludd winuing, arrived iu Wellington yesterday. ■In the course of an interview with a Dominion representative, "Monty" Andrews said that he was far from fit when he.. met Rudd, and the result was not altogether a surprise to him. He was a bad sailor, and had been very sick on the voyage from Sydney, and some rough weather was experienced on (the trip from Wellington to AA'estport, which still further upset him. He arrived at AA'estport on Sunday night, and fought on Tuesday night, when he could, in fancy,' still feel'the motion of the ship. Rudd, 011 his part, did not think Andrews was as .fit as ho might have been, and for .that reason he would like to soo another match arranged. The men have had an offer to'box the limit (15' rounds) for a purse of .£7O from the Palmerstou North Boxing- Association, but state that they will not light, for anything under an .£BO purso and' £0 each expenses. They stipulate that the fight must take place within" the next fortnight, as both men have engagements in Australia,.
