The Assembly Hall of the Young Men's Christian Association presented a welldecorated appearance last Saturday night, on tlio occasion of tho Ladies Auxiliary entertaining young men away from home. Nearly one. hundred responded to the invitation issued for a Christmas ivo supper, it being decided to hold, this function in place of the usual Christmas morning' breakfast, •jtfusical - items weio rendered by tho Misses Allan_and Picot, and Mr. W. Mellors Henry. Tho Christmas tree, which bore many presents, was then relieved of its burden, and each person was the recipient of an article off tho tree. ■
