Tho following minute was made by. the, Minister on November 7:—"I : wjsh t6 notify officers in: charge of branches that I intend Jo, discourage as much as possible visits of land'agents "to this Depart-* meat. In future they,should be renuest-; ••(1 to nut- in'writipg..their requests .on behalf "of clients. - I intend ( to-.publicly state, that there will be no need in future for the-intervention of land agents, and', that any member of .the'public who has business with the -Department,can have his business attended'to just as promptly by writins -direct or, by visiting the.-De-partment." .
