An area thirty miles long by twelve miles wide, has been devastated. Many holdings liavo been swept, including largo portions of tho Nariga,' Mathoura, and" Warbrcccan stations. Many thousands of acres of grass, hundreds of acres of wheat, many sheep, a few houses, and miles of fencing have been destroyed. A galo carried a wall of lire across tho country with tremendous rapidity, despite tho efforts of hundreds of fire-fighters.
