Our Palmerston .correspondent-, states that tho sixteen months daughter of Mr. D. Prentice, of Foxton, met her death in a'peculiar manner oil Tuesday last. Her brother, a boy of four or five years, had scooped a hole out of . the sand in the back yard, and into v this the unfortunate little one fell in.such a . position that she became suffocated.
