RAILWAY FREE PASSES.
Sir,—l not icc by the newspapers that the railway employees arc much disgusted at-bring unable lo travel by the mail and express trains during the holidays. I do not think they should complain. These men are in constant employment, wet or dry, receiving fair wnges. How many of their fellow workmen enjoy the same privilego and havo 110 free passes by either slow, fast, or.any other trains. If these railway men desire to travel during the holidays, surely they can ' nay, as others do who are paid for the work (hoy do during fine, weather only. If there were less of this "free pass" business it would be better for tho country generally, —I urn, etc.,
