Both; Houses of the Victorian Parliament met in conference on the Electoral Bill. , A compromise was suggested by tho Assembly which it is thought may lead to a settlement. CORRUPTION CHARGES.: ■ Perth, December 15. The report of the' Commission wiiich investigated the charges of". corruption against the' Lands Department' has been made public. No evidence of corruption on the part of either Ministers or officials was discovered. / RAILWAY SERVANTS' PENSIONS. Melbourno", December 15. The Victorian Government has decided to restore their jiensions and other rights to tho railway servants who took part in the 1903 strike. INDICTABLE OFFENCES.. Sydney, December 15. Mr. W. A. Holman, • State AttorneyGeneral, has prepared a report showing that of 818-1 indictable offences committed, there were 110 convictions for various reasons in 4296 cases. TRADE UNION ACTIVITY. Sydney, December 15. The Registrar's report on trade unions shows that there has been great activity in trade, circles. unions wore registered last year, making a total of 165, with a membership of 127,402, and fund* amounting to £9-1,900.
