BOILERMAKERS' LOCK-OUT.

The ballot of boilerniakers now proceeding at Newcastle and on the Clydo is almost unanimously in favour of- tho ' Edinburgh agreement. A London message of December 8 stated: "The shipbuilders and tho Boilermakers' Society have conferred at Edinburgh. There is -a good prospect of the ending of tho lock-oat on tho basis of the establishment of a tribunal of three ; employers and three , member's of tha allied trades, as a standing committee to meet within 24 hours of a breach of an agreement for the purpose of adjudicating. If the committee fails to agree, an over- . man lijill ' )e seleoted, whose, decision will , be final." '
