(By Telegraph—Press 'Association.) ,lnvercargill, December 13. The summer stoiv opened to-day. The entries in the various'departments totalled 1005, as against 901 last year, and this embraced increases in every individual - section. • In liomney Marsh two Otago breeders competed, viz., Messrs. W. Telford (Clifton Estate) and Alex Mackay (Pomahaka), the former scoring two firsts and a second. In the Jersey or Alderney cattle section, Mr. F. Hellyer, of Dunedin, was-a competitor, and won in all classes but one-year heifers. His Goddington 111 secured . the championship 'ribbon, as at the Otago show. In a fine exhibition of pigs, Messrs. H. O. Cos and Chas.: Brice, of Canterbury, swept the board.
