LICENSING COMMITTEE.
THE QUARTERLY MEETING. The quarterly meeting of the Welling' ton .Licensing Committee was held yester* day, Dr. M'Arthur presiding. Transfers . granted were as follow:— Brunswick Hotel, P. W. Corby to George Tulloch; Caledonian Hotel, J. J. !irth to P. W. Corby; Shepherds' Arms, A. G. Kimpton to Alicia Mary Buick; Terminus Hotel, John Curran to David Sullivan (permanent transfer);,Barrett's Hotel, S.' D. Williams to W. J. Connor; Post Office Hotel, to Mrs. M'Vinish, widow of. the* deceased licensee. ■ The Prince's Theatre Hotel was statedby Inspector Ellison, who appeared for the police, to be in an. indifferent condition. The house required renovating, and some of the furniture had practically, outlived its usefulness. Mr. T. Young, representing the inortgagees, gave an undertaking that the required repairs would be effected. ■ The chairman intimated that if the building wore not improved, the committee would take strict nieasnres at the annual meeting on June 30, 1911. The original licensee, Mr. I". 0. Weine, took possession yesterday.
