INFECTIOUS DISEASES HOSPITAL.

TO COMMENCE WORK NEXT WEEK. The new Infectious Diseases Hospital in the valley beyond the new Government House at Newtown is now almost ready for the purpose for which it was intended. For tho past few weeks the tenderers for' the fittings and furnishings have 1 been busy, and their work is now almost done. The furnishings have been supplied by Messrs. George arid George, of Wellington, the beds by Faulkner's, of Dunedin, and the linoleum by Mr. Henry Feilder, of Wellington. The matron, Miss Polden, -is to take charge of the hospital next week, and as soon as her domestic arrangements are complete the new institution will be given' all the cases of infectious disease now accommodated in. the fever ward.
