. ty. . o b Messrs. Fuller and Sons' new King's 8 Theatro, situated in Pitt Street, a few steps from the Karangahape Road cor- " nor,' Auckland, is. (says tho Auckland "Star") ono of tho finest of tho several I owned by the Puller proprietary in s New Zealand, and doubtless they ren gard the now enterprise as ono.of tho - most important in their business cars eer. The building is not yet quito fin--0 ished, either inside or outside; but only J the ■ unessential finishing touches still II remain to bo made, and the auditorium s and tho entrances arc all completed. ' Tho front elevation is of elegant though " not ornate design, and the same description applies .to the interior. Tho !, ground colour of the insido walls' and r .ceiling is white, and tho general ap- ;. pearanco is bright and pleasing. There •. is no gallery,-but tho stalls, pit, and '- dross circle aro large as New Zealand '■• theatres go, and the seating accommcp dation is sufficient for about 1800 peo- '■' plo. During the opening performance 1 on Monday last, Mr. John Fuller, sen., ■", made a short speech, announcing the a now venture, and offering thanks and r congratulations to Mr. Edward Bart,t ley_ (architect), and Mr. W. E. Hutchison (builder) for having done such eminently satisfactory work in erecting the theatre. At his invitation Mr. R. T.
