[ On her arrival from Onehnnga at New Plymouth on Monday morning next tho Northern Company's Earawa will continue on to Wellington instead of returning to the West Ooast port. This is being dona to enable the vessel to undergo her annual overhaul and survey on tho Patent Slip. It is expected that the vessel will be ready to roiiirn, to Onehnnga on tho following Saturday. Sho will then inaugurate a tri-weekly, ybiivico on tho West Coast between Onehunga and Now Plymouth. ■ It is reported that Captain Simp Eon, late of tho F.-H.-S. Perthshire,- is now en route to Sydney to take up an appointment with one of the stevedoring companies, and that Oaptain Pilkington, who has been enjoying a spell of shore, life at Capo Town-has succeeded him as master of the .vessel. The Whangape, upon completion of discharge of her Westport coal cargo at Sydney, will load at Newcastle for Napier, Gisborne, and Auckland.
