Manawatu, North v. South Taranaki,' South Canterbury v. Southland. Tne winner of tho South Canterbury-Southland match will have a bye in the second round. In the inter-Stato cricket match between South Australia and Victoria, the South Australians, in their second innings, made 284 runs. Tie chief'scorers were: Crawford: 24; S. Hill, 42; L. Hill, 51; Whitty (not out), 19. ' Kenny secured the fine average of five wickets for 49 runs; and Laver, three wickets for 112 runs.
