ENTHUSIASTIC MOVEMENT AT WANGANUI. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Wanganul, November 29. The Opera House was crowded to the doors to-night on the , occasion .of a mass meeting held to publicly initiate a movement for the establishment of a Y.M.C.A. Addresses were .delivered by Dr. Henry, Mr. Holmes (secretary of the Wellington Y.M.C.A.), and Mr. W. H. George, of 'Wellington. The proceedings were most enthusiastic throughout, and at the conclusion it was unanimously resolved to approve and support the scheme outlined by the local Provisional Executive The proposal is to conduct a campaign for £10,000, to provido an -up-to-date building and equipment. The campaign is to be organised under the direction of an expert, and tho cardinal feature of its policy is to be the opening of the building absolutely freo of debt, and with the general secretary's salary guaranteed for thrco years.
