THE LAST DAYS. , In moving on Saturday tho adjourn* ment of tho House until 10.30 thir morning, tho Prime Minister reiterated his belief that business could be brought to a conclusion ou Wednesday. ■The announcement was greeted with hearty "Hear, hears." To do this will probably mean a fairly strenuous three days. Tlie debate on. the report of the committee which -inquired into the charges made by Mr. Hino will be taken on Tuesday, and will probably occupyfall tho day. The debate on the Public Works Statement has yet to come on, and the Supplementary- Estimates have to be presented', and there is always a chance- that they will contain contentious matter. Ie addition, Sir Joseph Ward has. promised to lay Dororo the House the resolutions which lie proposes should be moved at tie Imperial Conference. When the House meets - .this morning it will consider Bills. Tho following still remain oa tho Order Paper:— Thermal Springs District Bill. Industrial Conciliaton and Arbitra* tion Amendment Bill (No. 2), Factories Bill.: Government Railways Amendment) Bill (No. 2). ' Tramways Amendment Bill. Coal-mines Amendment Bill (No. 2>< Mining Amendment Bill. ' Waihou and Ohinenrari Rivers Inv provement Bill. Land Settlement Finance Amendment Bill. .' . ; . Law of Libel Amendment'Bill. The Government has signified its intention of going on with all these measures, but it is anticipated that the Tramways Bill, if not dropped, wilt be radically amended. The Legislative Council will meet at 2.30 tliis afternoon, when it will go on with local Bills to be received fromthe.House of Representatives.
