'rade is good, and likely to continue o. 4 Merinos and. crossbrcds arc firm' at losing rates of-last sale. Eighteen thousand bales of New Zealand wool are catalogued. Tho estimated values of New Zealand wool. at. tho close of the fifth series .of tho colonial wool sales, held in Lon'don on October 8. were as follow:— merino, Is. Id. to Is. 3>d,; medium • merino,* IOJd. to : ls. OJd.j'inferior'raerino,' I 7}d. to 10d.; fin© crossbreds' (all gradesj. Is. ljd. to Is. 4d.; medium crossbrcds, lid. to Is. For merino wools of good quality and condition, prices .aro unchanged, but* for inferior and faulty merino wools, prices aro from Dar to 5 per cent, lower. For crossbred wools, prices are unchanged." Messrs. Murray, Roberts and Company, Ltd., have received tho "following cablegram from their London agents (Messrs. Sanderson, Murray and Company)'"The sixth series of wool sales have opened firm. There is-a laTge ; attendanco of buyers. Competition' is good.- Tho market shows no material change." 'Messrs. Levin and-Co., Ltd., havo received';' the following cablegram from their agents, the National Mortgage and Agency Company,. There was only a small selection of crossbreds at to-day's sale, and prices arc unchanged." Tho New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, have received the following cablegram from their Lon*' don house, under date November 23:— "Wool sales: There was a full attendance at the opening of the sales to-day. competition by Home and Continental buyers being spirited. Tho opening catalogues were fairly representative.' Tho sales opened firmly, both for merino and crossbred." . LONDON MARKETS. Tho New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, have received tho following cablegram from their Lopdon house, ur.der date November' 23*— Wheat: . An Australian cargo has been disposed of at 365. 9d. \c.i.f. There is a faiT demand, but market prospects are fluctuating, owing to favourablo I crop reports from tho Argentine. New | Zealand long-berried, 315.; short-berried, '30s. 6d; c.i.f. per o.uarter. Oats: Gartons, 17s. 9d.; sparrowbills, 17s. 3d. Thero is a fair demand. Tallow: Present snot values for tho following descriptions :—Good mut-. ton,' 395. 3d. per cwt.; good'-beef, cwt.; mixed, 375. per cwt.; market auiet. PRICE OF BUTTER, Messrs. Foley Bros., Ltd., Tooley Street, London,- cable their New Zealand representatives, Henry ICember and Son, as follows .under date November 24--Danish, finest salt, 117s. to 118s.; New Zealand, finest salt, 108s. to 110s.; Victorian, finest salt, lC6s. to 108s,; Victorian, finest unsalt, 106s. to 108s.; New South Wales, finest salt. 102s. to 1045.; New South Wales, unsalt, 104s to 106s. ; Queensland, finest salt. 102s. to 1043.; ' Queensland, unsalt. 104s to 1065.; New Zealand cheese, . finest white, 565. to 575.; New Zealand cheese, finest coloured, 565. to 575. Tho market is ; decidedly stronger, and shows an upward tendency. The Board of Trade • returns ' show imports of butter vinto the united Kingdom-for last week as 76,483 cwt. For tile corresponding week last year the total was 63,207 cwt., Ehowirie an increase o£ 13,276 cwt.
