Society's .'summer show concluded to-day in perfect weather. /As this was "Tcople's Day/',there was 'a very large attendance, some 16,500 people being' present. Tho takings amount to about ,£507, and it is anticipated that when accounts are made up the financial results will bo about £100 better than last year.. An accident occurrcd in the Lloyd-Lindsay competition, Trooper PatersonV horse falling ,oh him. At first' it'was thought that ho was, badly injured,'but it subsequently transpired that he'escaped with a severe shaking. Tho Otago -Draught Horse Breeders' challenge Cup for'the best yearling or two-year-old colt bred and owned by tho exhibitor was won by J. Seyb's (Georgetown) Baron Steward. Tho Otago Draught : Horse Breeders'- challenge cup for fillies (same conditions as in the colt class) was won by Jno. Callander's (Allanton) Lady Rowena* • - • • .
