Timaru to- ™ day, the catalogue comprising. 4500 bales, chiefly small lots. The wool generally was in fail' condition, but much was very badly classed. There was a large ■ attendance of buyers, and competition by i- all portions of the trade. Compared with .- the first sale of last year, , prices show a decline, but taking the heavier condition t of the clips into consideration, prices are considered satisfactory. The range of o prices are:—Super halfbred, lljd. to 12Jd.; k medium halfbred, lOd. to lid.; linlfbrod, 3d. to 93d.; medium three-quarter-bred, 1- 9d. to 10Jd.; inferior, Sd. to B£d.; medium - crossbred, SJd. to 9Jd.; 1 inferior, 7d. to :I Bd.; super pieces, 81(1.; medium, 7}d.; in- - ferior, 6d, i- AUCKLAND. : Auckland, November 23. At tho wool sales to-day, a total eataf logue of 6915 bales was offered, which ia 0 slightly less than last year. Generally speaking, line sorts showed a decrease of j Id. to 2id„ but the coarser crossbred wools, which formed by far the greatest proportion of the offerings, showed an increase of 3d. to id. The range of prices was as follows:—Superfine halfbred wool, lid. to 12d.: fine lialfbred merino, 9ld. to llld.; medium halfbred lOd. to IOJd.; superfine >. erossbreds, 9d. to llid.: medium erossbreds, Bi. to 10d.: coarse and inferior crossbred 6, 7}d. to Ej'd.i bellies and pieces, fid. to 9d.; Shropshires, 9d. to IOJd.
