AN HONOUR FOR MR. M'NAB.
LORD ROBERTS'S LETTER, ißy Telegraph.—Press Association.) Palmerston, November 23. Amongst other experiences of Mr. Robert M'Nab during his recent visit to the Old Country was the delivering of lectures upon national ..defence, under the auspices of tho National Service League. They were very highly thought of in England, as was shown by the expressions of current opinion, ..and, yesterday, •Mr. M'Nab received a- very pleasant testimony of their appreciation by the league' • and 'its head, in the shape of a handsome presentation inkstand, accompanied by the following autograph letter from FieldMarshal Lord Roberts:— "Tho National Service League, 72 Victoria Street, Westminster, London S.W., October 8, 1910. "Dear Mr. M'Nab,—l write to you as president of the National Service League, to express to you the warmest thanks of that body' for the valuable services you, ! rendered, to the league 'by. speaking for ' it duringiyour recent stay in this country, i "It is also my pleasing duty to ask you ' on behalf of the' league to" accept an ink- - stand, which is being separately forward- ; ed to you as a token of, our grateful rei cognition of the support which you have s given to the. great cause of national de1, fence to which we are devoted.—Believe i me, yours -very truly ' "EOBERTS, F.M."
