Palmer, the local secretary of the Navy League, has boeu advised by Captain Hamilton, the Governor's A.D.C., that "Their Excellencies will have much pleasnro in'attending the'entertainment at the Tmyn Hall on November 24, as well as giving their patronage, and that her Excellency will present tho prizes as ' requested." ; .
jHeadmasters who have not sent in the names of successful candidates are asked to do so before Wednesday. The_ entertainment on Thursday night promises.to be full, of "so,". "judßim? from the rehearsals which have been held by the Wellington Navals and tho College Rifles. Tho items from the warships are to be of a humorous nature. ■ The full programme will appear later.
