THE CHAMPION TOURNAMENT:' Local players are reminded that entriel for the Northern Bowling Association's champion rink>.hd tiairs tournament-close with the secretary of -the .association (Mr. Geo. Dixon), at Wellington, on Monday, December 19. As the tournament is to commence at Auckland on January 9, it is time the various clubs'.were rallying their representatives in order; that . the teams may get together'as'often as possible .to accustom themselves to. each other's play. As the "open door" policy is still in favour, there .is no limit to the number of teams a club .may 6en<L but there is .this point to.be considered by those who intend journeying to Auck- . land—there will be a, great gathering oi bowlers from all parts of the North I»< land, and the question of accommodation will have to'be considered, as ordinarilj Auckland is pretty crowded with holidaj visitors and tourists about the time of the tournament, and -parties •of bowlers may like to hang, together during the tournament.. . '■ . - • ■
The rinfc matches will be played in sections from Monday, January. 9, at 9.38 a.m. to 1 p.m., oh the following Wednesday..
