The Mi Darra has discharged into the hold of the Antarctic vessel the balance of the 250 tons of coal • that' is to ■ be' taken from Lyttelton. A largo quantity of timber from the dismantled huts is being stored ■ ■away in the hold, and, to-morrow, the remaining stores; that are waiting' to be 'dealt with in tho Harbour Board's shed, Tnll, Teccivo the crew's attention; One side of the Harbour Board's shed resembled an auction room this morning. Numerous quantities of cooking utensils and parts of chairs'were lying. ;in : all -directions, while large bundles'of clothes ■were being taken from cases, and allotted to . tho shore" parties.' ,The garments to b5 worn by the crcw of the Terra-Nova and shore parties. are made of strong merino.Each man on !tho shore staff is allotted fifty-nine assorted. lots, while members of, the' ship's'staff will, receive thirty-one: In all the total number of garments distributed;' will reach two thousand nine hundred and seventy-two. It is probable that; the :Terra Nova will leave Xyttelton somewhat earlier than was: expected on Saturday. ' The - time ' feas now teen fixed .for 3 p.m. THEATRE SITE STILL SOUGHT. Owing to Napier Municipal Theatre Bite Bill ' (which . proposed erecting a theatre and corporation offices on a portion of Clivo Square) being: rejected by the Bills- Committee of the House of Representatives, a special meeting of -the ; Borough .Council was held to-day to consider the position.
