HEAVY FOG IN THE STRAIT.
"LIKE A SOLID BANK" Vessels arriving at Wellington.- on Saturday night report a heavy fog at the entrance and in the harbour. The Mararoa,, leavinir the wharf at; 11.10; did not clear the Heads until'midnight. . It is stated that'the fog was. eo dense that one could not see anything.iv;enty yards away.. Last night the same conditions prevailed.: The harbour itself' was free from any fog, but it lay in a solid bank some distance, off the Heads. .--.
