WHILE CLEANING A WINDOW. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Napier, November 18. William Cranny, aged 71,. for many years employed by the local branch of tho Bank of New Zealand, was accidontally killed to-day. Ho was -engaged in cleaning the outside of tho window of a second story when the sash-cord, to which lie was holding, broke, and he fell backwards to' tho ground, sustaining internal injuries and fracturing his hip joint. He was removed to the hospital, hilt died shortly, afterwards. An 'inquest will be held to-morrow. RECOVERING. Nicol Jamicson, who met. with an accident on the King's Wliarf on Thursday, was reported by the hospital authorities last night to bo doing well.
