' SUMMARY AND FORECAST. •Rain has fallen in most parts of the Nortii Island (except Hawke'S Bay) during Monday night in the north, and to-day especially on the East Coast of the South Island. Moderate to strong . southerly winds have prevailed. The barometer has risen everywhere. Present indications are for a slowly-rising barometer everywhere Moderate to strong southerly winds will probably prevail. T HAT FIRE-SWEPT DOMAIN. — -* : •' TO BE REPLANTED. : (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Christchurch, November 15; The New Brighton Domain Board has considered' the question of replanting the domain, and the reserve recently damaged by the fire which occurred. on October 31 last. It was decided to write to. Mr. Russell, .M.P., to approach the Government, and, if possible, obtain a grant towards the cost, and to get one of the officers of tip Forestry Department to inspect '■ the . domain,. and advise. . the board as to what trees should bo cut down, and the best trees to be used in replanting.', .'lt' was also decided to invite subscriptions ■ from rosjdonts, and. also from those persons in Christchurcli and surrounding districts, who would assist in tho work of replanting the domain, as it was . largely used by others , than the New Brighton residents.
