WELLINGTON SHAREMAEKET. Thero was considerable traffic in Waihi shares yesterday, but values 'went downwards. At the morning call sales were reported at £6'6s. 3d., and closed at £5 19s. 6d. The Waihi correspondent of the Auckland "Star" telegraphs, as follows:—"The latest report with refererioo to the new lode, intersected on the south crosscut from the Eoyal lode in No. 9 level of the Waihi Company's mine, shows that the next 3ft. (namely, from 4ft. 'to 7ft.) aseays £3 19g. per ton. I understand that the reef is now over 12ft: in.width, with no sign of the other.wall." ■
