GEO. PINNOCK'S AFFAIRS. THE MOTOR-CARS. • Tho Chief Justico held a sitting of tho Bankruptcy Court on Saturday. In the bankrupt estate of George Pinnock, formerly proprietor of tho Commercial Hotel, Wellington, the Official Assignee asked for directions as to admitting certain proofs of debt. Before tho bankruptcy a motor-car and taxicab business was carried on, and it was claimed that the proprietor of this business was the bankrupt's wife. Tho six taxicabs were the subjects of hire purchase agreements between Mrs. Pinnock and Inglis Bros. The application of the Official Assignee (for whom Mr. 11. Myers appeared) was for direction as to whether proofs of debt in connection with this business should be admitted against the bankrupt estate. His Honour adjourned tho application until 9.30 a.m. next 'Saturday, and directed that iri the meantime servico should be effected upon tho largest creditor, tho Continental "Rubber Company (if it has a representative here), or upon S. liuko and Co., Ltd., the second largest creditors. The assignee also applied for directions as to payment of a bill of costs to Mr. Kirkcaldie. . ] Mr. Myers submitted that costs should not bo paid after adjudication. I
