NO REDUCTION SINCE COAL STRIKE. ' By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. London, November. 11. Tho. Shipping Conference has informed Mr. T. A. Coghlan, Agent-General for New South Wales, that the shipping companies cannot remove the increase of freights to Australia imposed in consequence of the Newcastle coal strike, owing to the price of coal in Australia having been raised on recent contraots by 13 per cent. The conference also alleges that, the companies lost largely by tho slaughtermen's strike in New South Wales.
