FIRES.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Napier, November 12. A fira gutted the back portion of Mr. Southgato's fruiterer's shop, Hastings Street, doing considerable damage. The building is owned by Ringland Brothers, and is insured for .£250 in the South British, and tlio stock for ,£260 in the Union, and .£IOO in the Norwich Union. Mr. Southgato's personal effects are insured for ,£SO in the Norwich Union. A fire broke out in a . four-roomed building occupied by Mr. Arthur Wilson, 291 AVillis Street, shortly . before one o'clock on Saturday afternoon. Tho furnituro of two bedrooms was destroyed, and the contents of the wholo houso damaged by heat and smoke. The building, which is the property of Mr. Frederick Brady, was insured in tho Guardian Office for ,£IOO, but the furniture was uninsured. •■■
