The manager of the homo heard groans from Parkers room, and found him on the bed m a state of collapse, with a mug which, it is supposed, had contained the poison. Parker diod this , morning... He was apparent yin good health and spirits, and apparently had no cause for worry. THE 'tAIHAPE BTJENING CASE. ■ : ■ Taihape, November 9. Albert Harvey, aged 19, the victim of a burning accident while filling a-lamp on the Ist instant, died yesterday afternoon from the effect of shock and exhaustion. At the inquest to-day a vor<iict was returned in accordance, the Coroner paying a tribute of praise to Ingram, the linesman, for the heroic way in which ho had tackled the deceased, and tore off his burning, clothes at the risk of his own life. , ; ' v FOUND DROWNED. , Auckland, November 9. The body of Bobert Bennetts, an engineer, who had been missing since October 31, was found floating in Manakau Harbour to-day. At the inquest a verdict of iound drowned was returned. v
