. Petones new ambulance wagon, which is-.housed by the-local borough council, will be in charge of a controlling committee consisting of the following :-The Mayor (Mr. J. W. MTSwan) representing the council, W. S. Smith (Foresters , Lodge, W. B. Gough (Druids), C. P. Brooklebank (Oddfellows), W. Cos (St. Johns Ambulance, Petano division), Mrs. .Bennett (St. John's Ambulance Nursing division), and Messrs. Evans, Greening v ■??£• Corn ?, r , (the P ublio of ketone). Mr. MEwan will act:as chairman of the committee, Mr. Gough as secretary, and Mr. Smith as treasurer. Mr. and Mrs; H. J. Palmer, Master Palmer, and Mr. and Mrs. A..Coles, who have been on a six months' tour of Great Britain and the Continent, are expected to arrive m Petone at.the end of next week.
