MILITARY ON THE MOVE.
SERIOUS CONFLICTS WITH POLICE. A SOCIALIST APPEAL. (Rec November 9, 11.0 p.m.) London, November 9. Tho rioting at Aberdare and Aberaman continues, and shops at Ton-y-Pandy have been looted. Great damage has been done, and there have been serious conflicts with the police. A further detachment of Hussars from Tidworth is proceeding to Swindon. ; The Government, in response to the local authorities' request, has ordered Genoral Macßearly at Cardiff to dispatch cavalry to the disturbed districts. A squadron has been sent to Pontypridd, and another arrives to-day. A force of 270 London metropolitan police, mounted and afoot.'has arrived at Ton-y-Pandy. At Aberaman there are two hundred additional London police, and at Pontypridd a. detachment'of infantry.
The Newport Social Democratic party has issued a manifesto placing in juxtaposition M.. Maud's, summoning of the French reservists to suppress the recent railway stride, and the Government's employment of the military in South Wales. It urges all trades unionists and workers to support their class.
