The Eecond-class cruiser Rainbow (3650 tons), bought by Canada from the Admiralty, has arrived' at Victoria, British Columbia, and has been officially taken over by tho Canadian Government, ;■'-..' This is the first Canadian warship to be stationed in the Pacific. On Wednesday the Admiralty, naval base at Esquimalt, Vancouver Island, will bo transferred to tho Dominion.
