LAWN TENNIS.
TOURNAMENTS SANCTIONED. Permission, has been granted by the Management Committee of tho New Zealand Lawn Tenuis Association for the following tournaments to bo held:— ■ Daunevirke.—Tenth annual championship : January 21, 23, and 24. Southland championship and handicap tournament.—December-26 to 28. Now Zealand championships at Blenheim. —December 26 to, 28. . Ashburton tournament.—Decomber. ', Otago v. Canterbury annual interprovincial match at Ohristchuroh on November 26. As stated in The DoanNioN on Monday. Mr. F. M. B. Fisher has reported favourably on the suitability of tho Blenheim courts for the Now Zealand championship events.
