A STATE OF ANTAGONISM.
BUT A DESIRE FOR UNITY. A PRESSMAN'S INQUIRIES. (Eeo. Nov. 8, 0.30 a.m.; London, November 7. ■ The "Daily Chronicle" recently sent, a special correspondent to interview eminent politicians, bankers, and merchants in Berlin. Beporting the result of bis inquiries, the correspondent says he found it correct that official relations lacked cordiality. Both countries were everywhere working with veiled and sometimes unveiled antagonism. There was, however, a passionate desire for improvement .prevailing in official and unofficial circles.
The arrest of armaments was possible only as part of a cordial and general poll, tical understanding. ■ KING AND KAISER. REGULAR: CORRESPONDENTS. (Rec. It is semi-officially. announced from Berlin that it is not improbable that King George and Queen Mary's Accession visit to Berlin will take place iii the second half of 1911. An exceedingly oordial understanding is stated to exist between King George and the Kaiser. Both maintain a regular autograph correspondence, and this and the confidence uniting them are a useful counterpoise to all attempts' to estrange the two countries.
