THE LIQUOR BATTLE.
AUCKLAND NO-LICENSE BESOLTT(By Tclcgrapli.-Press Association.) Auckland, November 7. At a, laTgely-attended No-Licenso rally held to-night (Mr. ■ Wesley Spragg, president of the New Zealand Allianco presiding), the following resolutions were carried:— (1) "That tho Government bo requested to accodo this session to the just demand , for equality voting at the licensing polls by removing the three-fifths handicap, and substituting the democratic principle of majority vote." (2) "That in addition to local option, we urge the Government this session to give such legislation as will enable the electors to vote on Dominion option as a distinct and separate issue."
