BOWLS.

SATURDAY'S PLAY. The bowlers were again in luck on Saturday afternoon as regards the weather. A light northerly breeze, tempered the heat of the sun, and made life on the green altogether charming. Several inter-club games wero played, but as the cards were not handed in in all cases, tie complete results were not available. This is a common fault amongst bowlers, who do not realise that the' withholding of a card may present the result from.being accurately announced. The secretaries, as a rule, are most conscientious in this regard, but they cannot be everywhere at all times, and must rely on the No. 2's to hand in the score-cards:— VICTORIA v. WELLINGTON. The following are the scores, as far as they are available, of the four-rink match played between Victoria and Wellington on Saturday:—On Victoria green: — Wellington: Evans, Hildreth, Ffrost, Ballingor (s.), 20.
