WELLINGTON DOCK.

POSTPONEMENT BILL CIRCULATED. The Wellington Harbour Board Empowering Bill was circulated yesterday. Tho Bill proposes to give power to the board to postpone the construction of tho graving dock, including any preliminary woiks necessary therefor, until it deems it pxpedient .to construct the same. The land shall remain •■ vested in the board,' but discharged from the use of it for a graving dock, floating dock, or slip, pr any other special purpose, so that such land may be'held-henceforth by the board for nil or any of'the purposes for whioh the board is constituted." Any/ money standing to the credit of the dock fund account created by the Harbour Empowering Act, 1902, Amendment Act, 1903, may be used for any of the works authorised to be undertaken by the board, The board may at any time" construct a dock, and may apply the gum of two hundred and fifty thousand'pounds (part of the loan authorised by the Wellington Harbour Board Reclamation and Empowering Act, 1908) to the. construction of suoh dock and works incidental thereto.
