Show give/promise -of' the sliow'.on November 16 and ,17 being the.most success-ful--yet. held-, tinders the, auspices of the association. V. Several iibtaole breeders of horses, catt'lo,',;and 'shecjv have promised to put" in an appearance, whilethe -homo .industries,- art, arid technical classes promise to tax the accommodation of tho big produce shed to its utmost. Ohief Steward Bond says and rand Marshal Sinclair also says; "It is & fact'th, at the dog show will-be the .finest yet, held in , , the. Dominion." Glancing down the schedule one is inclined to say that the Wy.K.C. deserves to have* their• benches 1 -packed, for they have provided a liberal bill of fare, totalling.:up .'in;.ordinary and special prizes to nearly £500. Among the valuable specials offered- is a sterling silver* challenge cup given by the E.-W. Hunt to the huntsman who. gains the most points in" the harrier division. Hounds last year were admitted to be a particularly .fine class, and'this year Mr. Bond expects to see this handsome trophy keenly competed for'. The Wanganui licensed victuallers offer two handsome trophies,, value £7 7s. each, to be won outright, for the best cocker spaniel and Borzois, in the show. The Irish Terrier Club give two trophies, value £4 45., for the best Irish terrier dog and bitch in the show. The New Zealand Setter. Club, offer a special of £1 Is. for the best samber or , setter puppy in the. show. The New Zealand Sky.e Terrier Club, also offer special prices for the best in their .respective classes, : while,'over a score of other valuable specials are.down on the list. Messrs. Paul Hunter and Maken are to . make the awards in the dog section. ■ , ■
