Admiral Lord Charles Beresford, in a speech at Walthamstow, said it was ridiculous nonsense to say that German naval shipbuilding had been delayed through' the British keeping their big' guns a secret. A German official had - told him about the gun a year ago. BIG- GUNS ADOPTED. (Rec. November 1, 9.30 p.m.) London, November 1. The newspapers insist that Germany has adopted 14-inch guns.
The Els wick works are placing 14.3 guns on the Brazilian super-Dread-nought named the Rio de Janeiro.
