A MEMBER UNSEATED. By Telegraph- -Press Association-Copyright. (Ree. November 1, 9.10 p.m.) Sydney, November 1. Mr. W. Brown, the successful Liberal candidate on the first ballot for Durham in the State Parliament, retained his seat at the sfecond ballot today by a majority of S3. Air. H. P. Morton, Independent Liberal, carried the Hastings and Maoleay seat on tho second ballot by a good margin, and Mr. R. S. Davidson, Liberal, who won the first ballot, was unseated. The new member is a strong AVade supporter.
