FEILDING ITEMS.
Mr. S. J. Lovelock, of Feilding, has been appointed custodian of the municipal baths, which are to be opened .today,
Evidence of careful selection of flowers and plants, and of good workmanship is not wanting in the public gardens of the town. Now that ' the roses are blooming, the plots, especially those in Manchester -Square, present a very beautiful appearance.
The holiday committee of the Chamber of- Commerce met on Monday morning, and decided to keep open all day on Wednesday, and to close at 11 a.m. on Friday for the ilanawatu Show. The committee also discussed the question of what, to do on November 9, bu,t no decision _ was arrived at. It was generally considered, however, that the day would not be observed as a full holiday.
