The revenue from tho sale of current for the four weeks shows an increase of ,£9O, and the expenditure an increase of £SG as compared with last year. The revenue from this service for. the i period from April 1 to October 13 has increased by £501, and the expenditure by £298. ' After allowing for proportion of capital charges, tho net result of the poiver supply business to date (October 13) is a credit balance of £13G, as compared with .£207 last year. Tramways and power supply: Tho net result of these two businesses for tho period from April 1 to October 13, 1910, shows a credit balance of £261, as compared with £55 last year. A balance on the wrong side of the ledger has become a standing feature of tho tramways account. This is attributed chiefly to the expense incurred in running out extra cars. As will he seen, tho operations of the department as a whole, for the period of six and a half months, have resulted in an increased credit balance.
