Yorran, in addressing the Anti-Gambling League, said that so far as his own feelings were concerned, ho would put tho totalisator away to-morrow. The State was progressive enough to do without the two and a half per centum which came from it.' Ho intended to movo for a Royal Commission to inquire into the whole question of gambling. Mr. Terran is head of the South Australian Labour party. He is also well known as a local preacher. The South Australian AVesleyon newspaper, in congratulating the new Premier on his accession to office, expressed the belief thai he would conduct business "in accordance with the finest traditions of Moonta Methodism."
