October 28, 9.40 p.m.) ' London, October 28. : The lafiding of a ship's rat from- a foreign port or the washing ashore of the body of a plague-infected rat is tile only explanation of the outbreak in Suffolk. . A tremendous extermination of rodents is proceeding between the Rivers Orwell and Stour. Cats and hares, as well as rats, have been found dead. (Rec. October 29, 0.20 a.m.), London,, October 28. Dead rats have been found at Clopton, Suffolk.
