People who appreciate —as who does not?—the work of tlio St. John Ambu- i la,ace Association,; will have- plenty of opportunities to-day of contributing to its- funds;; It is Ambulance Saturday,' . and the annual collections, will .be: made ; • in the stroets of the city , by a < band of voluntary helpers. The mam objects for which the association wants money . , at present are to provide . comfprtb : for ■ ' the sick ;poor under the ministration of r the association's nurses,and :to repair: /■ and : improve the ambulance , Van • and: appliances,: which urgently need- such Attention.. A contribution of &.sliilljtt§ or' more placed in any of the .collecting :boxes will purchase,a badge which will , insure- the weaver againßt, the appeals , from the other collectors throughout the' day. 1 These passports were very "popular last year.
